Ticonderoga Publications is ecstatic to the point of delirium to announce a forthcoming collection of stories by A Bertram Chandler Award-winning, internationally respected writer and researcher Lucy Sussex.<\/p>\n
The collection has a working title of Matilda Told Such Dreadful Lies<\/em> and is scheduled for publication in mid-2011.<\/p>\n Lucy\u2019s first published short story was \u201cThe Parish and Mrs Brown\u201d, in the 1983 anthology Dreamworks. Since then she has published more than 30 short stories. In 1998 she won the Aurealis Award for her story \u201cMerlusine\u201d, and she has won two short story Ditmar Awards, for \u201cMy Lady Tongue\u201d in 1989 and \u201cAbsolute Uncertainty\u201d, published in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction<\/em> in April 2001. \u201cThe Queen of Erewhon\u201d was selected for The Year\u2019s Best SF 5 <\/em>(2000), edited by David Hartwell.<\/p>\n In 1997, Lucy won the novel Ditmar for The Scarlet Rider<\/em>, published by Tor Books. She has published novels for children, young adults and adults. Her first book was The Peace Garden<\/em> (1989), followed by Deersnake <\/em>(1994), The Penguin Friend <\/em>(1997) and Black Ice <\/em>(1997). The Revognase<\/em>, part of the Quentaris series, was published in 2003.<\/p>\n \u201cLucy Sussex was one of the writers who really started my passion for short stories,\u201d Ticonderoga Editor Russell B.
