Like us, he thinks it&#8217;s a fabulous collection, and we&#8217;re extremely chuffed to read<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>&#8220;Melbourne-based author, Felicity Dowker begins her collection of fifteen stories with the award-winning \u2018Bread and Circuses\u2019, involving an unusual feminist zombie evolution. Dowker believes that writing horror is \u201ca way to set wrong things right\u201d. Certainly, many of the stories, accompanied by Dowker\u2019s background footnotes, involve retribution, particularly from a female perspective .\u2018Us, After the House Came Back\u2019 sees revenge and solace for the wife in an abused relationship, while \u201cthe bad guy\u201d has it coming in spades in the ultimately gory, \u2018The Female of the Species is More Deadly Than the Male\u2019.
